Coach Appreciation™ | CAREGD™

Some thank-yous take years to say.

1978 — 1987

More than a team.

From 1978 to 1987, Kennedy Girls Basketball built one of the most remarkable eras in local sports. But the story that matters most now is not just what happened on the court. It is what stayed with the women who lived it: confidence, standards, sisterhood, opportunity and belief.

Decades later, they are coming home to honor the coach and the era that helped shape who they became.

Championships become history.
Impact becomes part of who we are.

The Championship Years

Chapter I

1981–1982

City Champions

The first one.

The breakthrough. The first City Championship.

Chapter II

1985–1986

City Champions

Back on top.

The return to the top.

Chapter III

1986–1987

City Champions

Back-to-back.

The standard confirmed.

What stayed.

The season ended. The impact didn’t.

Seasons ended. Uniforms were folded away. Banners became memory. But what great coaching leaves behind does not disappear. The impact stays in the lives that were shaped, the confidence that was built, and the women who still carry those lessons with them.

Coaches change lives.

CAREGD believes coaching is one of the most powerful forms of human impact. Long after the final score, great coaches remain part of the story people tell about who helped shape them.

Coach Appreciation™ is not only about recognition. It is about acknowledging influence, honoring care and making visible what often goes unseen.

Coach, are you good?™

Because the people who spend their lives checking on everyone else deserve someone checking on them, too.

Coach Appreciation™ is part of how CAREGD™ builds Human Infrastructure™ for the AI Era — making visible the people who hold everyone else up.

We’re coming home.

A generation is coming home to honor the coach, the teammates and the legacy that still binds them together.

Who showed up for you?

Every athlete has a name, a face, a voice or a coach they still remember.
