Data + privacy

Human insight
without human surveillance.

CAREGD™ is designed to help organizations understand appropriate aggregate Human Signals while protecting the privacy of individual people.

Patterns,
not people.

The principle

People should be able to
check in without feeling watched.

A meaningful Check-In requires trust.

People should understand why they are being asked to participate, what information may be used and what an organization can — and cannot — see.

CAREGD is designed around a simple distinction:

  • Individual reflection belongs to the individual.
  • Organizational insight should focus on appropriate aggregate patterns.

Our data principles

Designed for understanding.
Not exposure.

  1. 01

    Aggregate first

    Understand groups, not individuals.

When CAREGD provides organizational Human Insight, the purpose is to help leaders understand patterns across participating groups rather than expose individual private disclosures.

  2. 02

    Minimum necessary data

    Collect with purpose.

CAREGD should collect only the information necessary to support the intended Check-In experience, connection behavior and appropriate aggregate insight. Information should not be collected simply because technology makes collection possible.

  3. 03

    Human judgment

    Insight informs. People decide.

CAREGD Human Insight is designed to help leaders ask better questions and understand context. It should not replace human judgment, relationships, leadership or professional care.

For the person checking in

Know what you're sharing.
Know why.

Purpose
People should understand why a Check-In is being offered.
Clarity
The experience should distinguish between private reflection and information intended for aggregate analysis.
Choice
Participation and optional follow-up actions should be communicated clearly.
Context
A CAREGD Check-In is not therapy, diagnosis or clinical assessment.

For organizations

See the pattern.
Not the person.

CAREGD can help organizations understand appropriate aggregate patterns across five Human Signals.

Human Insight Reports™ are intended to help leaders understand group-level conditions surrounding participating populations.

They are not intended to expose individual private disclosures.

  • PressureAggregate pattern
  • ConnectionAggregate pattern
  • HopeAggregate pattern
  • SupportAggregate pattern
  • ReadinessAggregate pattern
Illustrative only. No individual responses are shown and no real participant data is represented.

The organization sees patterns.
Not private individual stories.

Clear boundaries

Some things should remain
outside the system.

CAREGD is not designed to:

  • Monitor private conversations.
  • Provide organizational leaders with private individual disclosures as Human Insight.
  • Diagnose mental-health or medical conditions.
  • Replace therapy, clinical care or crisis services.
  • Score a person's worth, character or performance based on a Check-In.
  • Function as employee surveillance.
  • Make automated employment, disciplinary, educational or clinical decisions about individuals.

How to read Human Signals

Pressure is information.
Not a grade.

CAREGD Human Signals are designed to help surface context.

A signal is not a diagnosis. It is not a performance rating. It is not a label attached to a person.

It is information that may help people and organizations notice patterns, ask better questions and respond with greater awareness.

In plain language

From Check-In
to Human Insight.

  1. 01

    Person checks in

  2. 02

    CAREGD processes appropriate signal information

  3. 03

Organizational Human Insight is designed around aggregate patterns rather than presenting private individual responses

  4. 04

Appropriate group-level patterns can inform Human Insight

  5. 05

Leaders use context + human judgment

The exact data flow, permissions and reporting available may depend on the specific CAREGD implementation.

Responsible design

Before we collect data,
we should know why.

Why do we need it?

What purpose does the information serve?

Who benefits?

How does collecting it improve the participant or organizational experience?

Who can see it?

Is access appropriate to the purpose?

Can we do this with less?

Could the intended outcome be achieved with less information?

The AI era

More intelligence
should not mean less humanity.

As AI expands what organizations can measure, automate and analyze, CAREGD believes the human layer deserves equal care.

Human Infrastructure™ should use technology to strengthen understanding and connection — not create unnecessary surveillance.

Technology can reveal patterns.
People still require context, judgment and care.
